Parts per million (PPM)

"Out of a million" Parts per million or PPM describe the equality of performance or concentration of a substance in a larger mixture

How do we use PPM in chemistry?

To express concentrations of different substances (like water or supplier's defective rate, etc.) illustrating a percentage technically dimensionless. For example, to measure the concentration of soil and water, you will find the equivalent miligrams per liter of the water and per kilograms of the soil.
