MYP 1 UNIT 1: LIVING THINGS

We learnt about "Living Things" by doing posters of cells, presentations and with Science Bits. We transformed an animal cell to a house, a human body, a school… We also learned the MRS GREN acronym (Movement, Respiration, Sensitivity, Growth, Reproduction, Excretion and Nutrition) and the 5 types of living things (Plant, Animal, Fungi, Monerans and Protists). At the end of the unit, we did an exam about all the things that we have studied. We have learned a lot of things that a few weeks ago, we didn’t know. This has inspired me to question how protists and monerans reproduce and also, I would like to know more about nutrition in living things- for instance, the food change.
