Oxycodone is a prescription painkiller that is synthesized from poppy seeds. It can be swallowed, inhaled, or injected. Oxycodone is highly addictive; when consumed, feelings of relaxation and euphoria occur. Officials have discovered large quantities of counterfeit oxycodone pills, primarily with fentanyl as their active ingredient.
What is a Fentapill? Fentapills are fake prescription pills that can be easily obtained. Often sold on social media, these counterfeit pills are available to anyone with a smartphone, including minors. They are sold by criminal drug networks that mass produce and falsely market them as legitimate prescription pills. True to its name, a fentapill will often contain fentanyl or methamphetamine and can be deadly upon consumption.
