Why is cooperation so important? All truly great achievements in this world are the result of cooperation between people. This is especially true in the field of education, in which so many different individuals are involved in trying to reach one main goal.
When teachers collaborate, their different interests, backgrounds, strengths merge together; everyone has different tasks, in accordance with their own preferences, personal expertise, and academic interests.
This type of teamwork contributes to a greater sense of trust and accountability, and it allows teachers to feel confident about using their most developed skills toward school improvement.
When educators work together, they form important professional and personal relationships. Teachers often draw support from each other, and can delegate tasks that allow each person to be useful to the cause. Collaboration between teachers contributes to school improvement and student success.
COOPERATION IN OUR SCHOOL

For over twenty years, our primary school has provided for two hours in addition to the standard planning schedule
The weekly programme is a big resource for all members of the team:
- we avoid setbacks
- we plan the educational actions
- we organize contents and different school activities, tests included
These meetings are a unique opportunity for debate, dialogue, and exchange of ideas.
In our school, also the Kindergarten teachers used to meet regurarly, even though it is not mandatory.All school activities are carefully planned in advance.

Padlet (opens in new tab) is a platform in which you can create single or multiple walls able to house all the posts you want to share. From videos and images to documents and audio, it is literally a blank slate to be filled with everything concerning our pupil's education. This collaborative tool allows you to involve students, other teachers and parents.
PADLET: BEST TIPS AND TRICKBRAINSTORM: USE an open Padlet to let teachers and students add ideas and comments for a brainstorming session. This can span over a week or a single lesson, and helps encourage creativity. WORK WITH TEACHERS Collaborate with other teachers in and outside of the school in order to share resources, give opinions, make annotations, and more.

DIGITAL COFFEE
Not even 10 days after the beginning of quarantine, in Italy our schools were fully operative and distance learning was in full swing. We created channels where we monitored our pupils’ learning processes via both online and offline assignments.
We also received a training about digital learning.
It wasn’t easy, but in the end everybody received a proper basic training: how to use a learning platform, how to share activities and good practices, how to create a link sharing…
Despite the sad experience that was Covid, we found a way to make the most of it: every week we held (and still hold) a Virtual Coffee Chat!
It's a unique moment for sharing ideas, good practices, projects ... basically talk about school!
