Algebra
So we know algebra but what is it?Is the part of mathematics where the aritmetic operations uses letters, numbers and signs. Also we can say that each letter represent an unknown number.
1.- Parts of Algebra - Term Variable Constant Degree of a Term

2.-Polynomial
3.- Types of Polynomial
4.-Degree of a PolynomialKahoot
PARTS OF ALGEBRA
Degree of a Term
The degree of a term is given by the exponents of the variables. For Example: In which degree is this term The degree of the term is 8, because the exponent of z is 8
Example
Degree of a Term
Which is the degree for the next term? The degree of this term is actually 7 because: - The degree of x = 1 - The degree of y = 2 - The degree of z = 4 1+2+4= 7 is the degree of this term
Polynomial
Monomial Binomial Trinomial ...
Is an algebraic expresion that is the sum of one or more terms containing WHOLE NUMBER exponents on the variables Example: Are this polynomial: a) Yes, because all the terms are positive. b) No, because the first term has a negative exponent on the variable
TYPES OF POLYNOMIAL
The most commun polynomials are these:
MONOMIAL: It is a polynomial with one term Example: BINOMIAL: It is a polynomial with 2 terms Example: TRINOMIAL: It is a polynomial with 3 terms Example:
DEGREE OF A POLYNOMIAL
You know the degree of a term now let's have a challenge.
The degree of a polynomial is the same as the degree of its term with largest degree. Example: is a binomial of degree: Is a binomial of degree 2, because the degree of its first term is 2 and the degree of its other term is less than 2.
EXAMPLE
WHICH IS THE DEGREE OF THIS POLYNOMIAL: The degree of this polynomial is 3 now that we can see that v has the biggest exponent which is 3 and that gaves us the answer for the coefficient and exponent. Degree: 3 Coefficient: 1 The coefficient is 1 now that it is 1(v)"3
