prewriting:

Re-watch the story and write down the words they use to describe the different monsters.click here to go back to the story, and write your notes in the photocopy.

use the back of your paper to write ideas for your monster

drafting:

Use your notes to write complete sentences for your description.

editing

revising

Read it to the wall: does your description make sense? Can the readers picture your monster?

Check your spelling, capital letters and punctuation.

evaluating

Have your friend draw a picture of your monster as you read it to them. If it looks like your picture, you're done! If it doesn't, decide what needs to be fixed or added, and do it.

publishing

Complete your poster!

Use your best handwriting and keep it neat. Draw and color a picture of your monster.
