Who was Neil Armstrong?

Born August, 5 1930. Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut and aeronautical engineer who become the first person to walk on the moon 1969 he was also a naval aviator test pilot and university professor, died on August 25, 2012

Neil Armstrong' family

He is a descendant of clan Armstrong. He had a younger sister June and a younger brother Dean. His father was an auditor for the Ohio state government and the family moved around the state repeatly living in 16 towns over the next 4 years.

First walk on the moon

On July 20, 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong (1930-2012) and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin (1930-) became the first humans ever to land on the moon. About six-and-a-half hours later, Armstrong became the first person to walk on the moon. As he took his first step, Armstrong famously said, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." The Apollo 11 mission occurred eight years after President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963)

Neil Armstrong's life after his trip

Armstrong's life, after Apollo 11, was far from the stars and very close to the academy. In 1971, the American accepted a position as a professor at the University of Cincinnati, a modest institution, compared to others that were also looking for the astronaut.
