This theory relates to the broad view of stakeholders, but takes into consideration the power dynamics between stakeholders and organisations. It doesn't argue that only powerful stakeholders should be considered, just that power dynamics should be incorporated into questions about stakeholders.

Political
This theory relates to the 'broad view' of stakeholders. A fundamental idea is that a stakeholder is anyone who is affected by, or can affect the organisation. Following this, the organisation should be accountable to all stakeholders, which means providing an account of actions, as well as changing actions accordingly.

Political
This theory relates to the 'narrow view' of stakeholders, and to the concept of 'salience'. The more 'salient' stakeholders are, the more they need to be considered in both sides of the accountability model - providing an account, and adjusting actions.
