Problem Solving Skills

  • Flexibility: this is having an open-mind to the situation. To be willing to listen to the other party's story or opinion.
  • Vaules: The right vaules can help in any given situation
  • Intuition: Experience-based way of knowing or reasoning. Making it easier to find a solution in the problem.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Ability to connect with people and understand their emotions. This makes it easier to evaluate the situation.

why problem solving doesn't always work

1. Most people choose ignore problems thinking they will just go away. Others are afraid of conflict because they don't want anything bad to happen. 2. It can be hard for certain people to find a solution that everyone will be satisfied with.

Problem Solving (for managers)

1. Be aware of the problem 2. Identify the problem - understand what is going on 3. Find alternatives - find a way to fix or help the issue

4. Weigh the options - figure out the best solution 5. Implement choice - put solution into action 6. Evaluate choice

How this would be helpful with my career...

- It is very helpful in any situtation to know how to solve a problem correctly. This will help in cosmetology when dealing with customers. Being able to have emotional intelligence and figure out the best solution to the problem. - Problem solving can also help with employees. Making sure if there was conflict I would be able to handle it in a calmly manner.
