Toyota is committed to sustainable development and greener solutions. This is going to be implemented under the following category: • Organizational Partnership • Environmental Consciousness and Greener Solution • Electric vehicles and Self-driving Cars • Increased Presence in North America
Implementation Strategy: Organization Partnership
- Prime Planet Energy & Solutions, Inc. started in April 2020 for the development, manufacturing, and sales of state-of-the-art the art batteries through a partnership with Panasonic.
- In order for Toyota to stay up with annual sales and to enhance its research into solid-state technology, the company will acquire batteries at a lower cost.

- Invest in the Toyota Research Institute in Tokyo for driverless automobiles or electric vehicles. The Guardian and Chauffeur initiatives are part of this effort to create a proactive safety strategy.
- To further improve its autonomous car technology, Toyota purchased Carmera and invested $2.8 billion in 2019 for the development of self-driving cars via the Toyota Research Institute in Tokyo.
Implementation Strategy – North American Expansion
- The North American market is one of Toyota's most lucrative. Hence, a n initial $1 billion was invested in the Toyota Research Institute in North America in 2015.
- Over the Next Four Years (2021-2025), Toyota Research Institute Will Invest an Additional $36 Million to Support Accelerated Materials Design and Discovery in Collaboration with Academic Partners.
