Non-authentic materials are materials that are simplified, modified or designed exclusively for educational purposes. Examples of non-authentic materials are, comics, books, stories, video teaching tutorials, learning magazines, among others.

Advantages of using non-authentic materials: -It facilitates learning because it offers strategies and procedures. -It is adapted to each level. -Contains ready-made activities. -Aims to motivate the learner. -It represents and illustrates what is intended to be taught. Disadvantages of using non-authentic materials: -Only one methodology is used . -They are not close to the real context. -Sometimes the material is not in accordance with the country's culture. -Vocabulary out of use in everyday life.
