Golden Ink
When painting digitally, we don't want to miss out on any of the fun we have when painting traditionally. One cool thing we want to play with is golden ink! There is an easy way to add some shiny gold to your painting! Download the gold texture and dive right in.
1. Open the file in Photoshop and go to Edit > Define Pattern. Then choose a name and hit OK.
2. In your Painting File, open your Pattern Library, then click on the new Gold pattern that's in there now.
3. This will create a Pattern Layer. Give it a layer mask and fill it with Black.

If your pattern is repeating itself, you can click on the layer and open the Pattern Fill Options to scale it up.
4. Choose any brush you want and set your foreground color to White! Now you can paint in the layer mask and make the gold appear on your canvas. You can use the thin ink brush or the pattern brushes, or go crazy with the shader brushes! Have fun!
