ACTION AND NON-ACTION VERBS

NON-ACTION VERBS are verbs that describe states or feelings. (agree, be, believe, belong, depend, feel, forget, hate, hear, know, like, love, matter, mean, need, prefer, realize, recognize, remember, seem, suppose, want.)

ACTION VERBS are verbs that describe actions. (cook, run, speak, make,...)

NON-ACTION verbs will never be used in continuous.
