- Mirror the language and communication style
- Hooks to engage (promotions, research endeavors etc.)
- Familiarity – is there a link between yourself and the researcher?
- Scarcity in the final follow-up (reminder deadlines)

Why do you have so many editors?
Journals are broad in scope and represent the whole community of a discipline, each section is comparable to a journal in its own right
Broad Scope
A broader umbrella journal allows for greater inter-disciplinarity and fosters exchanges and networks within the community
Greater inter-disciplinarity
Frontiers journals attract a high number of submissions: more editors mean more specialisms and greater scholarly care of the articles
Higher Submissions
Please feel free to add them into the comment section
