- Diffusion is the net movement of anything generally from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration.

(liquid to liquid)

Liquid-Dye

- Once we dropped the liquid dye into the 150ml of water the dyes molecules spreads into the bottom of the glass of water. Untilthe liquid dye, dyes the water. It takes 30 seconds for the liquid dye to mix in with the glass of water.

(Solid to liquid)

Solid-Powder

- Once we dropped a pinch of coffee powder, it slowly spreads through the glass of 150ml of water and it dessolved completely after 14 minutes.

(Liquid to Gas)

Perfume

- The perfume molecules completely spreads through the air and took 5 seconds for us to smell the fragrance.

QUESTION

1.Why solid substances (powder) diffuse slower than liquid substances( liquid dye)

- Diffusion in solids is a very slow process because the density of solids is very high as compared to liquid and gases.

2. Why piggeries are not allowed in the subdivisions like Parc Regency?

- environmental impact of pig farming is the cause of the spread of feces and waste to surrounding neighborhoods, polluting air and water with toxic waste particles.

-In conducting this group exercise regarding diffusion of matter we as a group comprehend and discovered that the diffusion of liquid to gas, has the fasttest spreading of it's molucles than the other to materials. Since their molecules move randomly and mix up until the combination is uniform throughout, liquid to liquid diffusion occurs more quickly than solid to liquid diffusion. Due to the fact that solid particle locations are fixed, diffusion between solids is a very, very slow process.
