DESCRIPTION Zipaquira is a municipality in the department of cundinmaraca, being one of the most underdeveloped municipalities in the region, being one of the main promoters of employment and study for its variety of universities and courses it offers. This is recognized for its salt mine (Catedral de sal ) and parque de los comuneros
WHEN TO GO I have to go preferably the months of November and December, since they offer discounts and can delight the beautiful lighting
WHAT TO DRINK You have to try a panela water with cheese for the cold, and in case you are doing it, just go to Independencia to have a good beer or a variety of juices.
WHERE TO STAY You must look for hotels according to the budget, where there are from 50,000 to 200,000, having different options according to the proximity such as: Hotel Boutique Libertador, Hotel Camino De La Sal, Hotel Cacique Real, Hotel Estación, Hotel La Esmeralda, etc.
TIPPING Mustn´t tip, only if you wish for the attention given.
LENGUAGE You must know Spanish, although there are also staff in charge for those who only speak English.
CURRENCY You must carry Colombian pesos (cop)
