Every repost, reaction video, and comment boosts the algorithm and allows for more exposure to content. There are various ways to avoid these interactions. On platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, you can click on three dots on top of the post or continue pressing the screen in order for content options to pop up. Just click on "not interested" and call it a day! Another option is simply blocking the user, it really is that simple.

In-person Interactions
Social media posts are always easier to ignore than in-person interactions. As much as we want to avoid awkward situations, sometimes arguments spark between people, and we get stuck between them. But, you'll be surprised how easy it is to end such conversations. Of course, some people just won't change their opinion but you can always voice your own in the calmest way possible. Simply say "I believe [blank]" and "I disagree with [blank] but I rather not talk about it at this moment."
The internet is our door to nearly any type of information. Whether it is for school, entertainment, or work we are able to find piles and piles of any type of information. The thing is, not all the information you encounter is truthful. Here are a few steps to identify whether your information is fact or fiction. 1. Find if the source is reputable- Look at the sites domain name. Sources ending with "edu" and "gov" are most likely to be credible as they contain educational and government information. URLs that contain "org" are nonprofit and "com" are commercial so be aware of their bias. Comparing different sources will expose misinformation faster! 2.Look at the author of the information- Most anonymous writers, commercial websites, and some news companies have a substantial amount of bias. Look into why the article was written and identify other works created by the author to see if there is an opinion frequently brought up. 3. Proof read source- Identify spelling and grammar mistakes, stock pictures, generalized quotes. These are signs of falsification of evidence. It shows urgency to get information out and difficult to approve or deny information from other sources.
