THE BIGBANG THEORY IS A COSMOLOGICAL MODEL EXPLAINING HOW THE UNIVERSE BEGAN .IT SUGGESTS THAT UNIVERSE STARTED ITS EXPANSION ABOUT 13.8 BILLION YEARS AGO .

SOME MIGHT THINK OF THE CONCEPT OF BIGBANG AS AN EXPLOSION OF SOMETHING LEADING TO THE CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE. HOWEVER,THE IDEA OF THE BIGBANG THEORY IS SOMEWHAT SIMILAR TO THE BREAD-RAISIN MODEL.THE BREAD IS COMPARED TO THE UNIVERSE WHILE THE RAISINS ARE THE GALAXIES.

POSSIBLE REASONS ARE SHOCKWAVES FROM A SUPERNOVA OR THE EFFECT OF A PASSING STARS .

DUST AND GRAINS SORROUNDING THE SUN EVENTUALLY FORMED CLUMPS.THESE CLUMPS THEN ACCRETED FORMING PLANETESIMALS.

Swedish philosopher Emanuel Swedenborg in 1734 proposed that the planets formed out of a nebular crust that had surrounded the Sun and then broken apart.

IMMANUEL KANT

Kant laid out the Nebular hypothesis where he correctly postulated that the Solar System formed from a large cloud of gas, a nebula. He also correctly deduced that the Milky Way was a large disk of stars, which he theorized also formed from a (much larger) spinning cloud of gas. He also correctly suggested that other nebulae might also be similarly large and distant disks of stars. He also somewhat correctly suggested that there must be billions of galaxies.These theories weren’t shown correct until the 1900’s.

PIERRE-SIMON LAPLACE

Pierre-Simon Laplace was a French mathematician and astronomer who carried out remarkable studies regarding the stability of the solar system and is famously known as the ‘French Newton’. He also did pioneering work in mathematics regarding the theory of probability and statistics which influenced a whole new generation of mathematicians.
