WHAT DID THE EGYPTIAN BELIEVED ON?
The remains from ancient Egypt, including clothing, leather, wood, and food, provide an excellent idea of how the ancient Egyptians lived. Much information has also come from tombs. The Egyptians preserved the dead as mummies by removing the internal organs and preserving the body with salt or other chemicals. In addition, thousands of mummies of sacred animals such as cats, ibises, and crocodiles have been found. The ancient Egyptians created the pyramids as burial tombs to honor their pharaohs and since they believe them to be both man and god. Archeological excavations have found that unlike what most people might think, the pyramids were not built by slaves, but were Egyptians that lived in the area.
Egyptologists are not really sure how the ancient Egyptians managed to get the heavy rock, often weighing many tons up to build the pyramids. Some think that they used ramps, while others think that they may have used sand to release and balance.
The pharaohs of Egypt were often buried in giant pyramids or in secret tombs. m to help them in the afterlife. Archeologists have a lot of well preserved artifacts and tombs to examine in order to find out how the ancient Egyptians lived.
