There are 2 main elements that become a concern for teachers in carrying out classroom management through an authoritarian approach: 1. control student behavior 2. create and maintain strict rules and discipline
A. DEFENITION:
understanding of classroom management based on the approach:
2. premise approach
classroom management as a teacher or school effort to provide freedom to students.
1. authoritarian approach
difference between the two approaches:
so that all students obey the rules, supervision can be carried out
2. permissive approach
the rules made by the school are not too binding
3. behavioral approach
- is a process of behavior change process.
- The main idea of this approach is that classroom management is an effort to develop and facilitate positive behavior change
B. Management and learning
difference:management => the emphasis is stronger on the aspect of regulating the learning environment learning => in the form of managing or processing learning
equality : 1. skills to create and maintain optimal learning conditions 2. Overcome temporary or ongoing disturbances
class management components
1. forms of classroom management that can be used as alternatives by teachers: 1. action model 1) preventive: efforts to prevent interference in learning. some skills that a teacher must have a. responsive/sensitive b. attention
2). repressive
teacher's ability to overcome, seek and find the right solution to solve problems.
3). behavior modification

a. behavior modification
c. diagnosis
2. the role of the teacher a. encourage students to develop responsibility b. build student understanding c. create a sense of belonging
3. Habits to avoid
a. excessive interference

c. inaccuracy
d. deviation
