Legislation in Wales places an emphasis on empowering the voice of children, young people and their carers (Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal [Wales] Act, 2018).

The rationale for this research came from a parent sharing "I was really nervous about coming to meet you" with a Trainee Educational Psychologist (TEP) in Blaenau Gwent.
