Noun
Los sustantivos en inglés, o nouns, son palabras que se refieren a personas, lugares, animales, ideas, cosas, eventos, sustancias o cualidades.ejemplos Como núcleo del sujeto: Jaguars are beautiful (Los jaguares son hermosos). Como objeto del predicado: Ramiro buys milk every day (Ramiro compra leche todos los días). Sustantivo en núcleo del sujeto y en objeto del predicado: The kids are playing with the ball (Los niños están jugando con la pelota).
Adjective
Adjectives are words that are used to describe or modify nouns or pronouns. For example, red, quick, happy, and obnoxious are adjectives because they can describe things—a red hat, the quick rabbit, a happy duck, an obnoxious person. You seem happy about your new partner. I feel bad about eating the last slice. She doesn’t feel good enough for him.
Adverb
An adverb is a word/a set of words that modifies verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. It tells when, where, and how an action is performed or indicates the quality or degree of the action. Robin is always hungry for success. I love her very much. He is running fast.
Conjuction
Conjunctions are used to join clauses, phrases, and words together for constructing sentences. Conjunctions make a link between/among words or groups of words to other parts of the sentence and show a relationship between/among them. Alex and Robin are playing together. Alex plays well, but Robin plays better than him. I play cricket, and Robin plays football. When he was sick, I went to see him.
pronoun
A pronoun is one of the eight main parts of speech. The word pronoun means “on behalf of a noun,” meaning that it stands in for a noun (the antecedent) to avoid repetitive nouns in writing Carson went for a walk. It started to rain, so Carson went back to Carson’s house. Carson went for a walk. It started to rain, so he went back to his house.
Verb
A verb is a word or a combination of words that indicates action or a state of being or condition. A verb is the part of a sentence that tells us what the subject performs. Verbs are the hearts of English sentences. Jacob walks in the morning. (A usual action) Mike is going to school. (A condition of action) Albert does not like to walk. (A negative action) Anna is a good girl. (A state of being)
preposition
A preposition is a word that indicates the relationship between a noun and the other words of a sentence. They explain relationships of sequence, space, and logic between the object of the sentence and the rest of the sentence. They help us understand order, time connections, and positions. I am going to Canada. Alex threw a stone into the pond. The present is inside the box.
Interjection
An interjection is a kind of exclamation inserted into regular speech. Actually, it is a brief and abrupt pause in speech for expressing emotions. Interjections don’t have a grammatical function in sentence construction. Phew, Wow, Oh, Blah, Huh, Aw, God, Oops, Hurray, Yuck, Gee, Ugh, Ouch, Alas, Geez, Meh Oops, My bad. Wow! You had time to join us. Alas! I couldn’t be there on time.
