How to play
This is a quick speaking class. It can last from any 20-60 minutes or even longer if T permits. It is a set of questions and images discussing the topic of holidays and different aspects connected with it. It is a perfect speaking class for the first lesson or for any individual class for B2 or C1 level. T can go from the first activity to the last one in order, or just pick the ones that are going to suit their needs.
Questions
T shows the questions one by one allowing the students to discuss each one briefly or thoroughly, depending on the class or level. Since these are high levels, just ask students their opinions without prior preparation.
Expectations
T shows pairs of images each representing two sides of the holidays. Ask ss to come up with the answer to the question: What went wrong? The images are a perfect prompt to initiate a further discussion or simply collect different ideas from the students.
Facts
T shows facts about traveling and holidays. This activity can be done as a spontaneous exercise or a pre-prepared task. Ss try to analyze the information giving reasons. T may turn this exercise into a quick written practice for the students as well.
