Introduction

INTRODUCTION

United Kingdom, island country located off the northwestern coast of mainland Europe. The United Kingdom comprises the whole of the island of Great Britain which contains England, Wales, and Scotland, as well as the northern portion of the island of Ireland. The name Britain is sometimes used to refer to the United Kingdom as a whole. The capital is London, which is among the world’s leading commercial, financial, and cultural centers. The United Kingdom has made significant contributions to the world in several ways as economy, technology, gastronomy. In this presentation we will discuss some as well as they’re education and daily life.

Globalization of English Great Britain colonized the United States making it inherit the English language, after a while as world powers emerged influential people in their countries and the English language became influential in the same way, making it the global language.

The importance of English in education Since English became established as the international language, education systems in many parts of the world have made English a mandatory subject because it is a requirement for communicating with other people around the world.

Sports

The United Kingdom is a very important place in the history of sport, as it has spread the sport and made it very popular among its population. The UK has been the place where many sports have been created or consolidated the current bases.

As mentioned above, the United Kingdom was the place where many of the sports that are quite popular today were invented, among the sports they invented the most popular worldwide are the following:

• golf
• tennis
• soccer
• boxing
• rugby

Most of the sports mentioned were created in the 1800's in England.

ATHLETICS

From the 18th century onwards, the different competitions that make up modern athletics, such as short and long races, steeplechase races, throws with different weights and different types of jumps, began to be differentiated and the records of each of these competitions were recognized.

In the United Kingdom from secondary school onwards, students can choose the subjects they are most interested in taking, there are mandatory subjects and a wide variety of optional subjects, they must also have a mandatory subject of sex education and another one of religion.

Literature

William Shakespeare was one of the best writers and one of the most famous authors even after several years of his unfortunate death. He was an outstanding English playwright, author, actor, lyricist and poet known as one of the most famous writers of Universal Literature and as the most important writer of English culture.

William Shakespeare invented more than 1700 words throughout his career, he managed to create more than 100 terms and aphorisms by transforming nouns, adding suffixes or prefixes to words, he also mixed vocabulary from different places and that is how he found the perfect word to describe what he meant. he had in mind; it also came to implement words considered obsolete or rarely used.

Gastronomy

A language is also known for its gastronomic particularities. The fact of knowing the cuisine of a country makes it easier to learn to enjoy its gastronomy as one of them. Of all customs, tea is the most British. In fact, tea forms the basis of many social interactions in the United Kingdom. Most British people drink tea for breakfast, at work, before going to bed, during visits... in short, they drink tea all the time.
