Social media article
Side note! Basics of the video are on the left if you can't open the video or can't be bothered.
Since I can't easily annotate a video I will leave my notes on the side of the page.
Real and fake
Bad~ No author, since the video is supposedly a clip of a news report just posted on social media, it doesn't feature an author. Not on a reliable website. I found this video through a link on my pinterest, and the website I was taken too is unfamiliar and anyone can post on it.
Comparision of articles
This video is an interview with one of the founders of the weather channel The man, John Coleman, claims “... if you get down to the hard, cold facts, there’s no question about it: Climate change is not happening, there is no significant, man-made global warming now.. There’s a whole lot of baloney
+info
Realistic points: The video features a news banner, like a news channel would. The people dress and speak formally. The video features a greenscreen background, rather than an empty wall, like a news channel would.
With further digging...
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetur
With further digging I found the orginal video on the 'CNN' website, which is fairly reliable.
Diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna.
News article #12021's climate extremes show no sign of stopping
Good~ The article features an author, meaning someone is willing to be recognised with this page. This article also features a date. This proves the article is relevant, and supports the reliability.
The article is found on the website 'msn', which is generally rated as a reliable website. After reading this article I've found the title also matches the content. The article references an expert. (Rick sprinrad)

This article doesn't show any red flags, but some other articles might have are:
Fake news
(Breakyourownnews.com)
How have I made this realistic? To make my article realistic I've put a time, a banner usually found on news channel. I used the 'break your own news website to create this article' however the downsides include: Little context, a watermark, no author, and no other websites would have this same information.
Fake news
Classtools.net/breakingnews
LHow have I made this article realistic? To make this article realistic, a breaking news banner, alike any that would be used on a real channel, a place, a date, a title that matches my information, and a real news channel. I used the website 'classtools.net/breakingnews' Down sides for this website again would be there is no actual video to go with it, the BBC website would not really have this article, and the watermark in the bottom right corner.

"How can you do your best to check information is reliable?" 'To check if your source is reliable you can go through a number of steps.
If online check if the website is familiar and well known.
You could see if you can find a similar article somewhere else, displaying the same information (e.g. the queens death would be plastered everywhere).
Is the headline click bait? Read the full article and see if it matches its title.
Look for an author and published date.'
"Can you assume published information is reliable?" 'Not always, anything on the internet could be fake. You should always question a sources reliability until you can prove otherwise.' "Are social media posts a reliable form of information?" 'Generally no. Some social media posts might link a legitimate news article but videos on TikTok or other video based social media should be questioned.
