Objective

This guide is for you to know and practice the function keys on the AS400 tool so you get more familiar with them and help you to reduce the learning curve when you go to operations floor.

Here are the function keys definitions

To enter to AS400 you need to login in first

Screen access Code

In this screen you will have to type 01 in Select option# so you continue to the search screen

important

  • In the real AS400 you will have to press the keyfunctions in you keyboard to work.
  • For this practice you just need to click on the keyfunction in the screen to see where it will take you.

Remember here is just a click but in the tool you must use your keyboard functions!

Please click F7=Name Toggle(In real AS400 you will have to press F7 twice)

Now you can see the Cust Full Name changed, this way is easier for you to look for the customer name

This screen will appear after looking infoHere just click on the first customer column Opt, in real AS400 you will need to type 1 in there to select

After opening a customer agreement some pop up screen will appear.Here just click on "Enter to continue"

Here you have the Face of Contract (FOC) and all the Functions keys in the bottom of the screen. Please Click F1 = Exit

...and you come back to this screen.Now just next to continue with FOC key functions

Now lets Click F3 = Claims

Here is the Claims Inquiry DisplayTo Select a claim you have to type X on the left of the claim, but for this practice just click on the first claim that appears

And here you have the Claim Details Display! Here you can find the service center contact information.Just click F1 - Exit to go back to FOC

F4 we don't use that option so let's continue and click on F5= Inq

Here is the inquiry Maintenance screen.To add a new inquiry click F6-Add

In the real tool you will have to put the cursor on the inquiry type and type F4, for this practice just click on F4=Prompt

Now on this screen you can select the inquiry type.Click on the left of any Value to select it.

Here you will have to select Assigned and type F4.For this practice imagine you already selected Assigned and just click on 4=Prompt

Now you have to select your name from this screen with number 1. For this practice just Click on the left of any name to continue.

Now you see inquiry already assigned. In Comments type what you need to do to complete your inquiry on the lines, do not use more than 2 lines to put the message. Click next to continue

Change the date to select 48 business hours after you request the inquiry. Click F16 to accept the inq and save it in the system and go back to FOC

Now let's review F6, please click on 6= Notes

And here is the screen for you to leave Notes.click F3=Exit to go back to FOC

Now click on 7- ESP Chg

Here you have the changes screen. Click F10- Change

You can see Agreement Maintenance Screen.In the tool you will have to type Enter, but in this practice just click on next button to continue.

You will see this screen after type enter in the agreement maintenance screen. Here you can change address, phone number, email and serial number.Click F16 to save your changes and go back to FOC-

Now click on F8= Warr Inq

Now you will have to enter Selection number 1, in this practice just please click on number 1. MFG Inquiry

Here you can look for manufacturer.F8 type the manufacturer's name and Enter, for this practice just click F8-Display

Now you have manufacturer number so you can contact them or provide info to customer. Now click F3- Exit to go back to FOC

Now click on F10 = Call Hist

List of persons that visit the agreement before you.Now click F12 to go back to FOC

Now click on F11 = Cancel Inq

This screen provides an estimate of how much we will provide to the customer if they cancel there warranty in this moment (don't comment anything about money with the customer on the line, refer them to store).Click F3= Exit to go back to FOC

Now click on F12 = SrvCtrThere is going to be a series of screens where you need to press Enter to continue to the dispatch screen.

Here click on Enter to continue

You will see the screen like this, click Enter again to continue

Here you will have to select the way that you would cover the customers issue. Click Enter to continue.

And in this screen you will need to describe the issues that the item experienced for the service center.Once you finished click Enter to continue.

Web browser will open the dispatch screen to schedule an appoinment for the customer. Web browser will close automatically once you finish. Click Next to go back to FOC

Now click on F13 = T&Cs This will take you to customer specific terms and conditions.

The terms and conditions contract will pop up on the web browser. Here just click next to go back to FOC

Now click on F14 = Mjr Cmp

Only if the agreement is major components, here you will see a list of components covered under the major component contract. Click F12 to return

Now click on F16= UPS

UPS webpage will open. Click Next to go back to FOC

Now click on F17= FEDEX

FedEx webpage will open.Click next to go back to FOC

Now click on F19= CPR

Cell phone Repair webpage will open.Click next to go back to FOC

Now click on F20= UBIF

Device Repair webpage will open.Click next to continue.
