Art education is available to everyone under equal conditions regardless of race, skin
colour, sex, language, religion, political or other beliefs, national or social origin, assets,
birth, social status, disability, sexual orientation and age according to their abilities, and in
accordance with the Art Education Act

Public institutions that perform art education are art schools and other public institutions.Art schools are music, dance, art and other schools that perform art programmes in accordance with the Art Education Act.

During their education, students choose professional areas depending on their own preferences and desires. Secondary art education is provided according to the artcurriculum and it lasts four years.

Art education at all levels is implemented on the basis of the National Curriculum for
Preschool Education, Primary and Secondary School Education and Special Curricula for Art Education. Through primary and secondary art education, the student acquires knowledge and skills
for further education.

NATIONAL FRAMEWORK CURRICULUM It is a fundamental document that brings values, general goals and principles of upbringing and education to the national level. The concept of learning and teaching is determined by educational achievements at certain stages of student development, i.e. achievements for one's certain educational cycles and educational areas, it determines methods and criteria evaluation and assessment.

Art education at all levels is implemented on the basis of the National Curriculum for
Preschool Education, Primary and Secondary School Education and Special Curricula for
Art Education. Students of secondary art schools complete secondary education in
accordance with the Act of Primary and Secondary School Education.

for at least four years may also take the state graduation exams under the conditions
prescribed by the Act of Primary and Secondary School Education. All teachers and students works in accordance with The statute of the

State educational programme for art schools
A and B programme:the curricula contain a common part (general education lessons) and an art professional part (art educadion lessons). All students enroll in the first grade of the Fine Arts and Design program and attend the same courses. From the second grade they decide on the course in which they will be educated and choose the program of their education.

Only students who have been tested for artistic expression and artistic sensibility can enroll in schools of applied arts and design. The test consists of two tasks: pencil drawing and painting. Based on the test of artistic expression and sensibility, as well as success in elementary school, candidates gain points for admission to the first grade.

After successfully completing the first grade, students decide to enroll in one of the offered school programmes. A student who has completed the first grade with excellent results and with excellent final marks, has the right to direct enrollment. Other students have to take an entrance exam consisting of drawing, painting or modeling, depending on the educational school programme for which they are taking the entrance exam.

After first grade, enrollment in the second grade is decided by the student's marks at the end of the first grade. In special cases, art teachers suggest to students the best option for continuing their education.

1. Art map, A3 format, with sketches (10 for poster design or 5 for the design of another graphic product, 2 sketches for work in graphic techniques) 2. Printed poster, design for one graphic or graphic prints in the intaglio or letterpress technique (depending on what the student chose for maturita final work)
