Narration script Where would these actors be without a director? Without a leader and a creative vision, the rehearsal can descend into chaos and nothing gets done. Welcome to the first video in the Job Roles series. Over the next 3 videos you'll hear from professionals working in the theatre industry. What they tell you should remind you of what you’ve already learnt and give you a clearer idea of what it’s like to do these jobs. By the end of each video you’ll be able to; define the responsibilities for the job role, assess the skills they need to be good at their job and give examples of how they work with other people to make the production successful. There will be 3 opportunities in each video for you to check your learning and by completing all activities you’ll earn a badge for the leaderboard. In this video, you will hear from a Director.

Narration script How does an actor get from audition to performance? Getting from 'page to stage' takes a lot of hard work but it can be lots of fun too. Welcome to the second video in the Job Roles series in which you’ll hear from professionals working in the theatre industry. What they tell you should remind you of what you’ve already learnt and give you a clearer idea of what it’s like to do these jobs. By the end of each video you’ll be able to define the responsibilities for the job role, assess the skills they need to be good at their job and give examples of how they work with other people to make the production successful. There will be 3 opportunities in each video for you to check your learning and by completing all activities you’ll earn a badge for the leaderboard. In this video, you will hear from an Actor.
