- Networking- Strengthening existing ESS relationships within the UWI and with external bodies.

Based on interactions with students, personal experience and observations, the following areas were identified as primary areas of focus by the ESS for the year 2022-2023.

The Engineering Students Society (ESS) committe currently consists of (11) members (6) Executive members and (5) Department representatives. Each of these individuals have dedicated thier time to seriving the students of the Facutly of Engineering.

Post Pandemic Considerations
- Initiatives were planned considering both virtual and face-to-face modes of delivery.
- Explore opportunities for internal and external collaboration. This will aid transition to face-to-face regarding physical and financial demands

Making the ESS the center of a network that brings various stakeholders together. This network presents opportunities to boost student support. The use of Digital platforms such as UEL Academy can be used for outreach to students at the secondary level

Facilitating Transition to Face-to-Face modality
Faculty Tours
Focuses on FOE specific facilities. To be done in collaboration with ESS departemnt Reps. and technical members of staff from departments.
The ESS would like to propose the use of a digital campus map:
- This will aid both students and visitors in navigating around the campus . Aid incoming students in navigating the campus
- Map can be used to suppliment physical tours.
Campus Tours
Introduces students at all levels to various student support services (collaborative). Possible training of student volunteers from clubs/ societies.

- Further assessment needed regarding feasibility of initiatives.
- More opportunities for partnerships and sponsorship to be explored. Goal at least (2) partners per initiative.
- Meeting to be held with FOE outreach office for identifying common goals.
Where are we?
- Emphasis on the transition from online to Face-to-Face modality and ways understanding both can increase feasibility.
- Focus on Student support, networking and service.
- Currently exploring all possibilities and student needs.
