What is it?

Son palabras que nos ayudan a identificar a quién o a qué pertenece algo (p. ej. mi casa: my house / tu perro: your dog / su padre (de ella): her dad). Este tipo de posesivos se usan delante de la palabra: This is my house √ This is house my X

Example 1. I'm Paul. This is Luca. Luca is my best friend. He's from Italy. His mother is Julia and his father is Paolo. Luca has two sisters. His sisters are very friendly. Example 2. They're Marc and Nate. They're married and they have two cats. Their cats are so cute! Marc also has a lovebird. His lovebird is red and green. They live near my house, but their house is bigger than my house. Example 3. Today is my birthday! All my friends are here to celebrate.

Keep in mind!

En español, los posesivos (mi, tu, su, nuestro, etc.) cambian si la palabra está en singular o plural (mi casa / mis casas) o si la palabra es femenina o masculina (nuestro jardín / nuestra habitación); pero en inglés no cambian, es siempre igual sin importar si la palabra que va después está en singular o plural o de si es masculina o femenina (my girlfriend / my boyfriend / your dog / your dogs).
