Short stories themed around food and drink: a bed and breakfast owner is determined that a guest should try her famous 'Full English Breakfast'; a scientist invents an additive that increases peoples' attraction to certain food; a young boy learns to cook with the help of a great uncle and a magic ingredient; and a Japanese master chef must prepare his own last meal.

Frank Brennan comes from the North West of England and is a graduate of the University of Wales. He has worked as an actor and writer in a theatre group for schools before going on to teach English and Drama in secondary schools both in the UK and in Singapore.He has edited books of short stories and plays; written literature guide books for secondary students; written short stories for Cambridge and other publishers and is currently working on a new work of fiction. His interests include music, history and cinema.

3. The Water of wanting

Jean was a very careful man. He was working in Montereal for a large chemical company where he was working on their new feed additive. In the experiment, the lab mice kept coming back for more and more water containing Jean's additive. They didn't want to eat any food at all, so they died. Jean called it "WOW". He thought that “WOW” would make people want to eat or drink some things but not others. At the same time, he didn't want the “wow” to cause people to lose control of their appetites. Alian, who was almost two years old, didn´t eat anything healthy, only junk food. Katya was worried about her son who doesn´t eat healthy food. She and Jean had had two long vacations in the last year, and Alian was eating some new vegetables. And Katya, who had never been a big fan of hamburgers herself, had discovered that they were really good. Now they are her favourite lunch.

4. A LITTLE plot of honey

It tells the story of an ancient temple in China, where boxers oppose foreigners. A man possessed large quantities of honey that most of it was destroyed. He heard footsteps outside and put his honey in a wooden box to protect it. Jack Rawlins came home with a black eye, his father, Evan Rawlins, knew that Rex had hit his son.Jack found a jar of honey, then he showed that he could lift his father's car as the honey made him stronger. He wanted to confront the bully who missed Rex and asked if he wanted to fight. The next day, on the way to the sports center an accident happened and there was a woman who couldn't get out because of the blow, the boy in helping the woman would spend all the honey or he could win the fight, but he decided to help the woman.

5. my opinion

It is an interesting book that has several short stories, not related to each other. I recommend it to everyone, because it reads quickly and each story has an unexpected ending. For me, the best story is the one called "A Little Pot Of Honey", because it's awesome how Jack prefers save the life of a person he doesn't know at all over winning a fight with the biggest bully from the school.
