Special contact lenses or glasses can help people dealing with colour blindness or better tell the difference between colors. Software, hardware, and visual aids There are apps, online simulators, and computer monitors that can help individuals who are colour blind better discern between different colors and for designers to better understand how someone affected by colour blindness perceives colourful images.
The BenQ BL2480T monitor has build-in Eye Care technology to improve the colors on your screen. Next to other features, A Colour Weakness mode is present, especially for the colorblind.
Online Simulators- color vision test, also known as the Ishihara color test, it measures your ability to tell the difference among colors. If you don't pass this test, you may have poor color vision, or your doctor may tell you that you're color blind.
Plasmonic contact lens is based on the plasmonic surface lattice resonance (SLR) effect and can be utilized as a good color filter for the correction of deuteranomaly color blindness
Color-blind glasses work to change the saturation of the objects viewed through them, saturating the objects heavier towards the colors that the eyes have trouble perceiving. This serves to compensate for the missing colors and helps your brain perceive the object
Color Blind Pal helps people who are color blind see the colors around them. It also lets people with normal vision see what it's like to be color blind.
There's no cure for color blindness that's passed down in families, but most people find ways to adjust to it. Children with color blindness may need help with some classroom activities, and adults with color blindness may not be able to do certain jobs, like being a pilot or graphic designer
There are an estimated 300million people in the world have color vision deficiency
EnChroma started in 2010, after 10 years of R&D,
A father can't pass his color blindness on to his sons
1 in 12 men are color blind (8%)
If a woman has color blindness, all her sons will also be color blind
1 in 200 women are color blind (0.5%)
Color Blindness is typically inherited genitically and carried recessively on X chromosome
John Dalton Wrote the first scientific paper on color blindness. Color Blindness is also reffered to as Daltonism
While color blindness is often considered a mild disability, studies estimate that two-thirds of people with CVD feel its a handicap
Its extremely rare, but it's possible to have normal color vision in one eye and color blindness in the other eye . This is called unilateral dichomacy
Red-green color blindness doesnt mean only color confusion with red and green colors, but the whole color spectrum can cause confusion
The Popular "Red means bad and Green means good" is a poor design for people with color blindness. A better choice would be use red-blue and yelow-blue color combinations
EnChroma glasses are the only specialty eyewear that alleviates red-green color blindness, enhancing colors without the compromise of color accuracy
Many People with Color Blindness cannot tell that the power connector on a MacBook changes color
Enchroma emerged from three National Institutes of Health (NIH) SBIR funded studies on the feasibility of correcting color vision deficiency
Lots of Color Blind people are suprised to find out that Peanut butter is not green
Diffrent types of Color Blindness
Absent or weakened s-cones (or shortwave cones) is a condition called Tritanopia or Tritanomaly respectively. Both are extrememly rare, affecting 1 in 30-50,000, and alter the ability to distinguish some blues from greens and some yellows from violet.

There are an estimated 300 million people in the world with color vision deficiency. 1 in 12 men are color blind (8%). 1 in 200 women are color blind (0.5%).
It's a common problem that affects around 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women. Someone with this type of colour vision deficiency may: find it hard to tell the difference between reds, oranges, yellows, browns and greens.
1 in 200 Women And 1 in 12 Men Gets Color Blindness
0.5% of Women And 8% of Men Gets Color Blindness
- An enhanced sense of smell
- Enhanced night vision
- Bright light sensitivity
- Difficulties reading colored work pages
- Decreased attention span when coloring
- Exclusively coloring with the wrong colors
- Head or eye ache when looking at red on green or green on red backgrounds
- Difficulties identifying crayons or pencils with a green or red composition (red-green colorblindness, or Deuteranomaly, is the most common deficiency)
As of yet, there are no cures or medical interventions available for inherited color blindness, which includes laser eye surgery.
There are no treatments for most types of color vision difficulties, unless the color vision problem is related to the use of certain medicines or eye conditions. Discontinuing the medication causing your vision problem or treating the underlying eye disease may result in better color vision.

A color vision deficiency can impair a person’s ability to read and interpret various diagrams and graphics such as maps, pie charts and slides used in presentations.
Color deficiency can also interfere with the interpretation of advertisements and graphics on websites. Special color scheme generators are available that individuals can use to create a color scheme that is easier to interpret.
Most color blind individuals identify objects by their texture, shape and other features instead of their color. In mild cases, individuals may be able to see a dulled version of a color which can help them identify the color to some extent. For many people, a color is easier to identify if it is present over a large area rather than in the form of a line, which may simply appear as black.

- Use patterns and/or labels in addition to colors. Write out the names of colours if they are relevant to the instruction (yellow sun, green frog, etc.).
- making sure art supplies or other supplies with colours are appropriately labeled.
It is a non-profit organisation and is based in the UK, offering help and advice worldwide. Fundamental to the support they will provide to colour-blind people is a commitment to ensure the needs of colour-blind children are not overlooked.
A child with colour blindness may be considered to have a Special Educational Need, if it means they need additional support and resources from their school.”.

How a Person With Tritanopia See Color
How we see Vs. A person with Tritanopia see
Everyone was so shocked when i told the news of my son having color blindness because no one on my husband's or my side of the family has ever had colour blindness, but perhaps the colour blindness came from my grandmother's first husband, but he went missing before my mother was born, So perhaps the colour blindness came from my grandfather, and my mother became a carrier of colour blindness and it passed onto me, and perhaps that is why my son has colour blindness because I am a carrier of the gene.
My husband and I were shocked, and we are sad and worried because our son will have difficulty in his daily life, and when he grows up he will not be able to do jobs that he wants that require him to have colour vision. Examples are; pilot, doctor, fire fighter, navy, military, electrician, public driver, medicine, chef, florist, designer, artist, fashion designer, graphic designer, web designer, interior designer, painter, as well as some jobs in engineering.
Why are Color Blind Glasses so Expensive? The EnChroma color blind glasses are considered a luxury item. The materials in the lenses make up a significant amount of the cost.
How Much Do Color Blindness Glasses Cost? A pair of adult EnChroma lenses cost between $200 and $400. For children, the glasses start at approximately $269.
Insurance plans do not currently cover color blindness glasses. If you have vision protection, you can ask about receiving EnChroma glasses as prescription sunglasses. You may be given a discount or voucher. For patients not covered by health insurance, transition lenses typically add $100-$400 to the cost of prescription eyeglasses, which can cost up to $1,000, depending on the frames, lenses and any additional features chosen.
There are no treatments for most types of color vision difficulties, unless the color vision problem is related to the use of certain medicines or eye conditions. Discontinuing the medication causing your vision problem or treating the underlying eye disease may result in better color vision.
