Exploring the Mealtime Management Plan
A mealtime management plan will vary in layout depending on who has written it.The plan should always be written by a medical or clinical professional known as an Appropriately Qualified Health Professional (AQHP) such as a speech pathologist, accredited practising dietitian or occupational therapist.
A number of things may be listed in a mealtime management plan (see more info). You must be trained in the mealtime management plan and must understand the plan before providing support, especially where foods or fluids need to be modified. An example of an LWB template is shown here. Select the markers to learn more.
