We use it to talk about the present.

It is used to express:

  • Facts: Something that is true.
  • Routines (something we constantly do)

Present simple

The present simple is devided into two:

  1. Verb to be
  2. auxiliary verb: do or does

Verb to be: form

This verb form means two verbs in Spanish: Ser y estar. Its English forms are: Am, is, are.

Verb to be: form

  1. I am: Yo soy o estoy I'm
  2. You are: Tu eres o tu estás You're
  3. She is: ella es o ella está She's
  4. He is: el es o ella está He's
  5. It is: la cosa es o la cosa está It's
  6. You are: Ustedes son o ustedes están You're
  7. We are: nosotros somos o nosotros estamos We're
  8. They are: ellos son o ellas están They're

Verb to be: form
