Elements are instructional strategies. There are 43 elements in the Instructional Framework.

Domains 2, 3, and 4 There are 17 elements, or instructional strategies, in Domains 2, 3, and 4. These elements are also scored within the evaluation tool. An observer will score these elements to provide feedback: after a pre-conference and post-conference, as you develop and monitor your Deliberate Practice Plan, and at the middle and end of the year for Domain 4 observations.

Domain 1 Each section within a Lesson Segment contains elements. These elements are instructional practices the teacher uses in the classroom to achieve learning. There are 26 elements in Domain 1. Domain 1 has a direct effect on student achievement.
