Welcome to the project

First aid is for everyone, everywhere. All we need to know is how to properly provide it. The project aimed to educate secondary school students in different schools about first aid and workplace safety rules and help young people react quickly and effectively in life-threatening situations.

Because when a heart stops, every second counts.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES

PROJECT LOGO

After creating the project as well as personal profiles of the participants on Twinspace our next step was to design the LOGO. Later we voted for the best project according to certain criteria. Number 6 was voted the best one.

PROJECT PLAN

During our first ONLINE MEETING we discussed the project plan and the ideas for further project activities. Later, we incorporated all the ideas into a consistent plan for the participants and published it on Twinspace.

FORUM DISCUSSIONS

During our collaboration we actively participated in forum discussions on topics such as - MY ROLE MODEL - SONGS AND POEMS ABOUT FIRST AID

FIRST AID SURVEY

The next step of our collaboration was to present the results of a survey on the subject of FIRST AID. We wanted to know how much information students had about providing help to others and what the level of knowledge among our projest groups was.

The majority of students of our school were largely familiar with the general principles of providing first aid. The students were aware of the fact that everybody can safe another person's life, they knew the basic rules of first aid such as: ratio of chest compressions to the number of breaths, and what to do in the event of fainting, poisoning or seizures.

FIRST AID OVERVIEW PRESENTATIONS

In January we focused on searching for general information about first aid procedures and regulations in different countries as well as preparing a presentation about step-by-step action in case of an emergency.

OCCUPATIONAL RISKS

BE A HERO. SAVE LIVES was also focused on occupational risks connected with different jobs e.g: a motor vehicle technician, an analyst technician and many more that are trained in our schools. In our presentations we pointed out possible accidents and ways of dealing with them in different professions.

FIRST AID QUIZ

The final step in our collaboration was an ONLINE FIRST AID QUIZ. Each project group prepared the quiz questions and later an online quiz was arranged on KAHOOT platform. Project members had to answer questions connected with first aid. The winner of the quiz was POLISH TEAM.

FIRST AID TRAININGS

Throughout the whole project all project groups were taking part in professional first aid trainings with specialists. We actively participated in the course, performed all kinds of activities.

We also shared our knowledge with other students from our school.

PROJECT EVALUATION

Evaluation survey was prepared for project groups to express their feelings about the project

The survey showed that students enoyed the project, learnt a lot from it and would definitely join again :-)
