What Is a Formula?

Algebra is a part of mathematics that involve using something called "variables". A variable is a symbol/place holder for a value we dont know yet. (linear equations/slope intercept form)

A "formula" is a principle. "Well then whats a principle?" a principle is a way of doing soemting, almost like a rule or order you have to follow in order to get the correct answer.

Science Use's Formulas?

Yes, from what I've learned this semester in science 10 formulas are a pivetol role in physics. Wanna find the potential enrgey of that marble? Ep=mgh(mass, gravity, height). What about the power of an object? P=m/v(power = mass/volume).

Both are fundemental in overcoming problems in life (cooking, keeping track of your money, driving, and filing taxes.)

Solving Steps

To convert your equation to "y=mx+b" you first have to understand what each value represents. The "y" and "x" are variables/place holders. The "m" represents the slope; which means your graphs rise/run and "b" represents the y-intercept of your graph aka where to graph you first plot point once you solve the equation on the y-axis. (up & down line)

Mathematics & Science in education is the bases of any advancements in the near future since the our whole way of life revolves around it.

After talking this question through with both my math and science 10 class it was a unanomus decision of 20/27 that "Science Is A Math" because, "science is applied math and mathematics is applied formula's. Therefore science is a math in the sense that they go hand in hand with echother where on the other hand. Math is applied formulas and decision making which means mathematics cannot be a science in that sense. For the people that had the opposite opinion, theyre reasoning was "they should be yin and yang to eachother to be compatable.
