ACTIVITY 5:

Time Management

  • In order for Gabe to finish his work and submit it on time, he needs help in learning how to find the time to finish his tasks and manage his time outside of academics. A checklist should be created to assist him in distributing his tasks evenly and managing his academic progress so that he does not become fatigued while performing them. Gabe, for example, can solve 1 (one) problem from his homework for at least 30 minutes, or at most an hour, and then use the next hour to assist his mother or father. This kind of routine should be guided so that Gabe may learn to stick with it at a later age. It’s helpful to Gabe as it can assist him in dividing his tasks into small parts and managing his other activities as well.
  • To guide him and other individuals who may be struggling with the same difficulties, we have created the Apollo App. The app is to be used with the guidance of Gabriel's guardian.

ACTIVITY 5:

Time Management: Apollo

Purpose

Services:

  • The app is based on the psychological concept of classical conditioning. Ivan Pavlov coined the term, and it refers to a type of unconscious or automatic learning. The learning process produces a conditioned response by associating an unconditioned stimulus with a neutral stimulus. The app was created with this concept in mind, and it motivates people who want to or struggle to stick to a regular schedule. The application's use of schedules and AI is motivated by the fact that there appears to be no easy way to edit your schedule unless you do so manually.
  • The app functions as a schedule, reminding you of tasks that are created based on how the user decides whether they want the same routine every day or if they want something different. The AI can set phone reminders/alarms for you to complete a specific task. You earn points for each task completed by the user. As an incentive, you can use your points to design a house/person in the app. You also get bonus points for completing your tasks on a consistent basis.
