Example:

Would you shout if you saw a ghost?

Yes, I would / No, I wouldn't.

Explanation

- The question needs two parts: a condition and the result of the condition. If you won the lotterey (condition), would you be happy? (result)- Write the conditon with if + subject + verb (past form). If you won...? - Write the result with would or could + subject + verb (base form). Would you be happy if...? - You can change the order of these parts, but if you write the conditon first, write a comma before the result. If you won the lottery, would you be happy? / Would you be happy if you won the lottery?

To make these questions, just add the WH- word (what, where, when...) before would / could in the clause that contains the result.
