Meet Itzik

Meet Itzik. Itzik is 30 years old, the oldest of 6, in a family that made Aliyah when he was a boy. He lives in Jerusalem and is a real estate agent. He has a BA in Business Administration. Itzik loves motorcycles, never misses a basketball game with the gang, and volunteers with youth at risk. He's a great friend, there's nobody like him.

What can we say, he's a catch!

But here's the thing...

Itzik doesn't have the best luck when it comes to romance. He meets girls and goes on dates, but somehow he still hasn't found "The One". And that is a real bummer :(

But then a friend told him about Chiburim

A community of mentors who can help me find a meaningful relationship?

Setting Expectations

Itzik needs to understand that the success of the process depends on his own investment and commitment to the process: attending mentoring meetings, updating and sharing with you, and being available to go out and date!

There is no guarantee that Itzik will find someone to date, and even if he does, there's no guarantee that the relationship will be successful

Accessibility and boundaries: It is important that Itzik knows that you are there for him and that he is free to contact you to consult and deliberate. On the other hand, it is also important that he knows when and how convenient it is for you to be in touch and when not to be in touch.

Filling out the "Getting to Know You" Questionnaire

At the end of the meeting, you and Itzik should review and complete together the "Getting to Know You" questionnaire that you printed

Please Keep in Mind!As time goes by, your first impression of Itzik will fade. So it's very important that you fill out the "Mentor's Impression" field as close as possible to the meeting, even immediately after Itzik leaves. This is a very important tool for you and the other mentors who come across Itzik's profile.

Now What?

Pro Tip: The best strategy is to arrive at the meeting with your laptop and take into account an additional half-hour after the meeting is over to update Itzik's profile on the spot. That way, you won't drag it on and Itzik will begin to appear in other mentors' searches immediately!

First of all , tell us how it was! Email, text or mail pigeon, the main thing is that you keep us in the loop!

You can find him by typing his email, phone number, or full name in the search bar. Click on Search. Enter Itzik's profile by clicking on his picture.

Did you get into Itzik's profile? Great! - Fill out the following fields:

Schedule your two additional meetings with Itzik as well as the day and time of your weekly phone calls at the conclusion of your first meeting

It is important to update the number of meetings you have had in the Mentoring System within 24 hours.

Once Itzik's profile is filled out, a Chiburim staff member will review the card and approve it. Itzik will then receive access to his personal zone, where he can receive up to 3 suggested matches a week, based on the criteria you defined together.

You can also search for potential matches for Itzik. Enter his card and click on "Find Matches", which appears above Itzik's picture.

Privacy and Discretion

These are the details that can only be revealed to potential matches:

• Location
• Status (Single, Divorced, Widowed, Children)
• Current Occupation
• Hobbies
• Any visible disability and any significant health condition (mental, emotional, social, and communicative)

It is important to treat the Chaverim's privacy with respect and caution!

They trust us not to share their details with anyone other than a few basic details that we are allowed to disclose to potential spouses, in order to arouse their interested in dating them.

Did you see a Chavera that's a good match for Itzik? - Here's what to do

If Itzik is interested, call the potential match, her phone number appears in her profile. Introduce yourself as a mentor in Chiburim, tell her about Itzik and ask if she's interested. You should also send her a picture of Itzik.

Are they both interested? Excellent! All that is left to do is to exchange contact information between them and let the magic happen!

Call Itizk, tell him about the potential match, and see if he's interested. You should also send him a picture of the woman before he gives a final confirmation that he's interested.

That's it?

Not Exactly...You have to block the girl's profile so that she won't appear in Itizk's matches. Find the girl's profile from within Itzik's matches, choose it and click on the "Block Result" button.

The date was a success! It won't be long before...

Wait, not so fast!

Generally, it's not so simple, the road to a meaningful relationship is filled with challenges

Our job as mentors is to help the Chaver/a clarify what relationship is right for them, to maintain and nurture such a relationship if they find it.

As part of the phone calls and meetings, itzik will update you on how the first meeting was, and if they will continue to date. You can find out together what was and wasn't successful on the date. Even if the date wasn't full of "sparks", it's best not to give up and instead give another date or two a chance. Many times you discover things that were hidden under the pressure of the first date, and many successful relationships have evolved from an unsuccessful first date.

What Now?

If Itzik continues to meet with the same woman, there is no reason for him to appear in searches of other mentors. In the system, change the "on a break" status from No to Yes. Now go to the "Additional Information" tab and make sure you know where the "on a break" field is.

Even though Itzik started a relationship during the mentoring process - something that doesn't happen every time - the process doesn't stop. You can devote the next meetings to conversations about Itzik's new relationship, overcoming challenges that arise along the way, and helping Itizk learn from the process about himself and what he is looking for in a relationship.

Completing the mentoring process

You have completed your third meeting with Itzik and the mentoring process is over! Yet, this hardly means that Itzik's journey at Chiburim is over.

Itzik will remain active in the personal zone, where he will be able to receive suggestions every week, update his information, and receive tips and advice from us, the Chiburim staff. Additionally, he will continue to receive suggestions from other mentors who encounter his profile in their searches and will be able to take part in singles events at special prices that we post from time to time. Itzik will be able to leverage the significant mentoring process we went through with you in order to take full advantage of these opportunities.

Itzik can also request to extend the learning process if he feels that he hasn't maximized the potential of the program. In order to extend the mentoring process, Itzik needs to reach out to the Chiburim staff. The team's decision depends first of all on you - do you have anything else to give as part of the mentoring process? The extension of the mentoring process involves an additional fee that Itzik will have to arrange with the Chiburim staff.
