ADVANTAGES

of Cloud Storage

Cloud computing is a great euphemism for centralization of computer services under one server.

Evgeny Morozov

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing heralds a fundamental shift in how data is stored and programs are performed. Everything is hosted on the "cloud" rather than executing programs and data on a single desktop machine. It is an internet working system in which computers do not store data, but rather all information is available via the internet in large processing centers.

Advantages

There are several risks and advantages to the various possibilities offered by cloud computing. Among the advantages are, for example, the great portability of information, the possibility of dispensing with large storage capacity devices and greater simplicity in the operation of computers.

Cloud Storage should at least provide:

Confidentiality

Integrity

Availability

Reliability

Data sharing

Efficient retrieval

+ Benefits

1. Saves Storage Space

2. Improves Disaster Recovery

3. Increases Collaboration

But it's not all advantages...

Amidst all these advantages there are also some disadvantages and drawbacks.

Disadvantages

The negative factors of cloud storage revolve mainly around the lack of security in the storage of personal and sensitive data, the great possibility of failures in servers and main frames, and the dependence on companies and services subject to their own risks, such as bankruptcy and unethical behavior.

- Drawbacks

1. Potential Security Threats

2. Requires Internet Connection

3. Terms of Agreement

Cloud Storage in Education

Educational institutions can save money and improve learning by using the "cloud". They can have always-synced learning information, students can collaborate on projects simultaneously, and teachers can access lesson plans remotely using cloud applications and services. Keep yourself updated so you can figure out how to get the most of the cloud. Collaboration between all participants in the learning process, as well as across different educational institutions, is possible in such an environment, which improves educational quality.Teachers and students, as well as educational institutions, benefit from the cloud computing concept.

When compared to the old approach, the benefits of cloud computing include lower prices for hardware and software, as well as lower expenses for IT workers; payment for actual consumption; and the availability of numerous free services.Educational institutions of all sizes have been adopting cloud-based technology at a record pace to deliver:

  • Improved learning experiences that promote collaboration
  • Modernization that saves time (and saves the environment)
  • Enhanced security to protect sensitive data
  • Significant cost savings with increased capabilities.
