A brief about ROV

• A Quick brief:

- ROV stands for ( Remotely operated vheicle ).

- ROV main purposes : 1- Improve the efficiency of the underwater operations. 2- Reduce The cost ( instead of a whole team of divers we just need ROV and its pilot). 3- Safety ( we use a machine instead of human under water).

• Our Rov

- Our vision for the design is to be small form, portable,and affordable ROV.

- This ROV are equipped with a video camera,sensors,antena (for wireless connection), propulsion system, and lights. Other equipment is added depending on the specifications required. These include a manipulator arm, water sampler, instruments that measure clarity, light penetration, temperature, and depth. The team was determined to recreate such an ROV in order to fulfill a specific mission involving four separate tasks.

How can we use ROV ?

• Improving Aquatic life by collecting datab from underwater.
• Using ROVs instead of humans in dangerous tasks.

• Investigating for military reasons.
• Help Archaeologists in discovery operations.

• used to do maintaining tasks underwater in wind farms

( help devoloping in renewable energy field ).

• There is several ways to use the rov in ....... .

Next steps :

• we are devided into 3-teams with 3 different tracks (Mechanical,software and electric).

• so each team of the three will go deep in his track till we design our project for frist competition
• (al-alamein city UWR).

• Then we are going to study how to devolop it ,what perts need to be replaced and to make sure that it matchs the conditions for the second competition (Mate ROV COMPETITON).
