01. Introduction
ENLİL is a smart vertical axis wind turbine project that transforms highways into renewable energy sources by using the dynamics of the city. It also provides comfort and safety to the city thanks to the build-in sensors and an intelligent platform.

02. VAWT
Vertical axis wind turbines
- The axis of rotation is perpendicular to the ground
- Are either drag-based or lift based or a hybrid of both
- They have low efficiencies (5-10%) compared to HAWT (40%)
- Suitable for low altitudes
- Tolerates turbulences

Description
Hardware
Characterized by its relatively small size, the ENLIL wind turbine can fit anywhere and it only takes minutes ti install and re-install.
The apparatus consists of a Savonius (drag based) wind turbine, a small solar panel and a variety of sensors that measure:
- Generates on average 1KWh of energy
- Relatively cheap price per unit
- On-grid and Off-grid use
- Provides other services to the community.
- Produces 98% less CO2 compared to fossil fuel based power plants.
- Temperature
- CO2 levels
- Humidity
- Earthquakes
04. Updates on Project
Won multiple tech awards including:
- Mercedez benz startup contest.
- Climate launchpad - Grand final.
- Power up competition by EIT.
