What is Skyward and why do we use it?

Add Assignments

The Skyward gradebook is the official gradebook for parents & teachers to use to see student grades.

If you are not syncing assignments and grades from Canvas, you can manually create them in Skyward.

Instructions for setting up Grade Passback from Canvas to Skyward can be viewed HERE.

All grades must be input into the Skyward gradebook for each grading period. District/Campus expectations will be communicated. The Rockwall ISD Grading Policy can be found HERE.

Message Center

Using Skyward Message Center

Gradebook Message Center allows you to post a message to one or more classes at a time. This message can both be an alert in Skyward, as well as an email message. This is the preferred method for communicating with all families at once. Only students in grades 7-12 will have access to emails sent via Skyward.
