Indonesia is a country that has so many distributions of volcanoes, both active and inactive. The areas that have the largest distribution of volcanoes in Indonesia are Sumatra, Java and Nusa Tenggara. This causes Indonesia to become a potential area for geothermal utilization. The intended and most dominant utilization of geothermal is the utilization that is intended as a source of electricity generation.Geothermal energy is also known as geothermal energy, which comes from the Greek word "geo" meaning earth and "thermal" meaning heat. So geothermal is heat contained in the earth and appears on the earth's surface that can be used to fulfill human needs. Geothermal energy is renewable energy, which means that energy from nature will not be used up or can be used continuously.

According to Law no. 27 of 2003 concerning Geothermal states that geothermal resources are sources of thermal energy contained in hot water, steam and rocks g with associated minerals and other gases, all of which are genetically inseparable in a geothermal system and for their use a mining process is required. which can be used to generate electricity. Geothermal management policies submitted to local governments must consider and relate to several things such as the following (Inne Dwiastuti and Purwanto; 2014) 1. National interest in geothermal utilization and management. 2. Considering the existence of local communities on geothermal utilization. 3. Impact of large-scale geothermal utilization on the environment. 4. Maintenance in various uses of geothermal energy at the earth's surface level. 5. Things that are needed to ensure the sustainability of geothermal energy for generations of newcomers.

However, the implementation often differs between plans and policies and the situation in the field. There have been so many deviations in policies and objectives of holding geothermal and as a result the community has been affected by this project. Flores is an area that has a volcanic distribution that has the potential for geothermal utilization. Geothermal utilization in Flores has already started and there are already several areas that have utilized geothermal resources. One example is the Mataloko geothermal which is already running and the Wae Sano geothermal located in West Manggarai which is in the process of being explored.

In utilizing geothermal resources in Indonesia, especially in Flores, which is located in Sano Nggoang, the author states that he is not impartial to the government's plan to make the area around Sano Nggoang a place for geothermal utilization as a power plant. If this continues, it will have the effect of decreasing the quality of public health, so that the goals of sustainable development related to good health are not achieved. The third, the increase in temperature which causes sea level rise. This affects not only the regional level but also at the national and international levels. Every year sea level rise is increasing. It is not impossible that one day, one or several areas in Indonesia will be declared submerged. This can cause the next generation to not be able to feel as the current generation feels.

The last one is related to the decrease in the number of animals around geothermal projects. When this continues, there will be an extinction of animals in the Mataloko area, so that future generations will not be able to see or feel what the current generation is feeling. Based on some of the negative impacts that occurred in Mataloko as a result of the geothermal project, the author expressed his rejection of the planned development of the geothermal project in Sano Nggoang, West Manggarai Regency, because he was afraid that it would cause the same negative impact. This is what the author wants to avoid so that there is no imbalance in the forest and lake ecosystems in Sano Nggoang and there are no problems related to welfare, health and economy arising from geothermal projects.

Therefore, seeing other potentials that can still be utilized by the Wae Sano community to meet their living needs and also maintain their health, the author offers the Wae Sano community a program to make Wae Sano a recreational and informative nature tourism program through a hot water bathing tourism program. The hot spring tourism program utilizes geothermal heat in the form of hot springs which will be further processed through technology on the basis of government cooperation with the community, including students, so that geothermal energy in Wae Sano is utilized with environmentally friendly principles. Later, this potential is used by the community to read business opportunities that have the potential to get high profits, so that one of the values of sustainable development goals can be achieved related to community welfare.

Community empowerment related to the business products that are run can be designed in the innovation and production house program. Later this house is intended to explore community innovations related to business products, how to make them and how to promote them. This means that the writers of the students hold community empowerment activities through internships at the innovation and production houses that were built, so that the community knows and implements what business potential is in the area. so that it can bring benefits that can meet the needs of the community.
