OUR SCHOOL

OUR SCHOOL C.E.I.P. Ginés Morata is a state school that host infant and primary education. There are about 470 pupils (3-11), 30 teachers and 8 people non-teaching staff. It promotes competences in languages, maths, sciences and ICT, as well as individual and social values: responsibility, autonomy, equality, coexistence, inclusion and multiculturalism. The most important projects are the library, plurilinguism, ICT, task/project based learning, healthy habits, garden and gender equality. Cooperation among teachers, team work, motivation and implication of the families in their children’s education are some special aims. The staff usually cooperate with the education authorities and the teachers training centre: hosting job shadowing activities, training for education students and other schools, presentations and conferences.

WE FEEL ERASMUS Erasmus projects are the school's most important hallmark. Since 2011 it has been participating in various types of international projects: Comenius, etwinning, and Erasmus K219, K229, K210, K220, K121, and K120.

AN ANECDOTE Queen Letizia, of Spain, visited our school on the occasion of the inauguration of the 2016/2017 school year. She was accompanied by Ginés Morata, a prestigious Spanish scientist born in Almería and winner of the Prince of Asturias Award for scientific and technical research, after whom the school is named. These important VIPs encourage us and our students to work hard and study to help other people.
