NEUTRAL MILK HOTEL
Neutral Milk Hotel was a musical group, originated in Luisiana. Its leader was Jeff Magnum who was the writer and the singer too, Jeremy Barnes was the dummer, Scott Spilianer and Julian Koaster were the bass players and the people who played the bajo. The kind of music that they used to play was indie rock, psychdelic rock, acid folk and all that type of music, and the style they wanted to show was totally vintage and indie. Magnum wrote songs with letters about lots of topics, such as the love, spirituality, nostalgy and solitude. Some of their most famous songs are : "Over the Sea", "Oh Comely",... But today i am going to talk about " Holland 1945"

He responsed him that something as "Holland" or "1945", in the end it was a mix of both ideas. But why is this song so famous between the rest of them? HOW WAS IT TO LIVE AT THE NAZI´S GERMANY?
We all know the terrible life of the groups that were stalked during the holocaust (Jewish, Roms, Communists, homosexuals...)All of them were treated as they weren´t humans, they lived each time worst, at first, they were obligated to renunce to lots of their rights, and simple things, like going to the cinema or any public place. They have to left their homes if they wanted to have a chance to survive when the holocaust started. Most of them didn´t understand what was going on, lots of them were just scared kids, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers that just tried to survive, leaving back all their lives hoping to go back home. At the end millions of people died at the concentrations camps, but it wasn´t until the 23th of July of the year 1944 that the first concentration camp was liberated by the Soviet Army, ten years after them started to be used. On the other hand we have the "normal" life in Germany. With the Hitler´s arrives to the power, the way to live in Germany changed too. The woman must dedicated all their lifes to their children and their homes being literally their only right end having a houseband. With this situations was obvious that havingh an educuation was something that only made to the country lose money, so they couldn´t get an education. The birth rated had come down, and one of the propuse of Hitler was to change that, but got married wasn´t easy. Your marriage had to be allowed by the court of hereditary health, this with the objective of avoiding "the procration of a lower, sick, crazy or a demental person"
BUT, WHY ANA FRANK? Ana was born at Francfort, at a time when the things didn´t go well in Germany, so she, her parents and her old sister, moved to Holland. There Ana began a new life, she made friends and she had a happy life. His father began a jam business and everything looked to get better., but when Ana was only ten years old, in september of 1940, the nazis invaded Poland. All their rights were been reducing, and at July of 1942, and when her sister Margot, was asked to work at the nazi´s Germany, scared the Frank family, with others families too hid them selves at the famous back house. Her diary will become his scape during the 2 years she spent there. It has all the thoughts of an amazing teen girl, with so much to say in an incredible way, who had been stolen her life and all her dreams. There were an announcement that said that people who owned war documents kept them,, that´s the reason why Ana started to rewrite her diary, but before she ended, the hiding place was discovered, and her, with her family was sent to Auswitch. She lived there with her mother and her sister during a time, but then Ana and Margot, were moved to the concentration camp bergen-belsen, leaving behind her mother and father. Sadly she and margot died there, such as her mother in Auswitch with horribles life conditions. The only member of the family that survived was Otto, her father, who found Ana´s diary, read it and discovered how wonderful his daughter was and all about her dreams about becoming a writer. With the recommendations of some friends, Otto finally published it, beginig Ana´s Frank diary one of the most famous, and valuable books in the world

REFERENCES
"They buried her alive, one evening 1945, just with her sister at her side"This is an obvious reference to how her and her sister died. Magnum wrote this song about her, because he said he´s in love with Ana. He adds that the way that she wrote and the things that she expressed, transmited him a lot of fellings.
"The only girl I ever loved was born with roses in her eyes" This could be a mention to the group that existed during the nazi´s Germany: "White Rose" "Now she´s a little boy in Spain, playing pianos filled with flames" All the song has some references to rencarnation, and it´s said for a lot of people that this refeers to how many brilliant minds were lost in the war, but all of them are reincarnated into today´s artists.

SPORT IN THE "XX" CENTURY
In the United States, the sports has been always something important in their culture. It´s in the xx century when the minoritys, started to look for their site in the sport´s world. For example between 1920 and 1930, the historical black universities started to develop a big interest in athletism , the sports were expanding over the states universities, and some black athletes were drafted, what was seen for the newspapers as a progress, another example is that in the 1997 the Women´s National Basketball Association started to be played. In this era lots of sports got a lot of fame, sports such as the american football, the ice hockey and even the basketball that had always had popularity got even more. On the other hand at the begining of the century, the sport there started to be seen as a prove of masculinity, the boxing became a profesional sport which emphasized the manhood and the phisicalls aspects, playing without gloves would be an example for that.
