American esports organization Cloud9 has revealed that former CS:GO player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo will be switching from Counter-Strike to VALORANT. Riot Games’ new first-person tactical shooter has drawn in other former CS:GO players, including Braxton “Brax” Pierce and Keven “AZK” Larivière.18-year-old Tyson “TenZ” Ngo rose up the ranks in the North American CS:GO scene, eventually getting his break with Cloud9 in July of 2019. The young star made his debut under the C9 banner at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles, where the team managed a win over FaZe Clan and ties with MIBR and NRG. They fell to eventual champions Team Liquid in the semi-finals, ending their first event in the top four.

TenZ had two more LAN appearances with Cloud9, placing last at the Arctic Invitational and getting relegated in the North American division of ESL Pro League Season 10. TenZ was benched from the CS:GO squad in October, and later became a Cloud9 streamer and content creator in December. In the announcement video, TenZ explains that he will be stepping away from Counter-Strike to pursue VALORANT instead. “I decided to make this change because, after getting access to the closed beta, I’d been having a lot of fun playing VALORANT,” TenZ states. “I just thought it’d be best if I changed games.” TenZ is Cloud9's first VALORANT signing. He joins other former professional CS:GO players Braxton "Brax" Pierce and Keven “AZK” Larivière in pursuing the competitive VALORANT scene. TenZ will continue streaming his VALORANT gameplay on his Twitch channel, where he currently boasts over 77,000 followers.

The gamer first started out playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The streamer quickly rose through the ranks with CS:GO and signed with Cloud9 in 2019 to play the game professionally. He made his debut at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles; at the tournament, the team beat the popular gaming organization FaZe Clan. In April 2020, Tenz made a big announcement. He announced he would be switching to Valorant to play competitively over Counter Strike with Cloud9. The announcement marked the first time Tenz spoke about his decision to switch from Counter Strike to Valorant. At the time, he was the first player signed to Cloud9’s new Valorant squad.

In August 2020, Tenz finished third in the A-Tier tournament Pop Flash. Tyson Ngo Biography & Career He has been interested in playing games since he was a child. Tyson Ngo started playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive game in middle school when he was just 12 years old. He started his channel in 2014 and he uploads a Highlight video of the CS: GO game to his channel and highlights his Twitch streaming video. Tyson Ngo decided to stream to his Twitch account in 2015. But he seldom streamed. After 2018 he started streaming on his channel continuously. Since June 2021, he moves to Sentinels from Cloud9 and won first ever global Valorant championship event, Valorant Champions Tour Masters in Iceland. He started his Esports career in 2017 and participated in a small event at that time. He joined the Cloud9 team in 2019 and played the CS: GO game for about 1 year and retired in 2020.
