Data Set Distribution

The data is asymmetrical. There are peaks for February, December, and June, which were the three most common responses. Therefore, the most common birth month for students in our class is February, December, or June.

Numerical Data Set

On average, how many letters are in the full name of people in our class? 12, 13, 13, 13, 13, 14, 14, 15, 15, 15, 15, 15, 16, 16, 16, 16, 16, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 17, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 19, 19, 19, 19, 19, 19, 19, 20, 20, 20, 20, 20, 21, 21, 21, 21, 21, 22, 22, 22, 23, 23, 27, 27, 29

Data Set Distribution & Typical Value

The data is asymmetrical, and it is centered around 18 where there is a peak. The data is clustered from 15 to 21, and there are gaps from 24 to 26 and at 28. There are a few outliers at 27 and 29. A typical value for this data set would be 18, which is both the mean and the median. Even though there are outliers, they did not skew the mean. Therefore, on average, people in our class have 18 letters in their full name.
