Vision and project

The project you are working on, must be aligned with the goals you have in the organization, and it surely needs input from a range of perspectives, which can be different areas, departments, people, stakeholders, partners, etc. But bringing all of those together to build something in common requires a shared vision of what you are trying to build with the project. What does the project looks like? How is going to be the world when your project comes to life? How is everyone picturing that idea?

Create a vision

Creating a vision means that a person can imagine the future and literally "see" what the future could look like. Someone who creates vision can see opportunities for change, is able to think beyond obstacles, and can recognize what is best for the organization, even if obstacles and challenges to this vision exist in the present situation.

Who is part of the vision?

Even when you have a clear idea of that vision, is not simply communicating it to others, write it on a wall where everybody sees, means nothing if it’s not meaningful for everyone involved. Particularly in conservation, that vision involves the team, the organization, and the stakeholders from different projects that address certain concerns and possible scenarios in the future.
